For camping, standard or ultra light, you do not need thicker. The breaking strain is much higher than any tent can handle. If this snaps, please send us pictures of the tent in the morning if you can still find it! Please note, variations are in meters.
Dyneema rope is 2mm thick and more durable than kevlar. It is made of 16 strands with a polyester outer layer for reflection. The combination of polyester and Dyneema offers a balance of strength and flexibility, as Dyneema is strong under tension but not abrasion. While thinner and weaker options are available (at 0.75mm), we recommend the slightly thicker 1.9mm diameter for added strength. The rope has very minimal stretch and weighs 2.8g per meter.
Reflective, so no more tripping over at night...hopefully. Extremely strong, as per above and very light. You spend a fortune on the best tents, equip it with the best guy lines.
